Our history
At Terete Hot Tubs we have been providing customers with luxurious hot tubs of superior quality since 2002. We are one of the only companies in the UK that only retail cedar hot tubs. Darlington, Middlesbrough and York are all within easy travelling distance of our showrooms however we are able to deal with customers from all over the UK who are looking for exceptional quality hot tubs at sensible prices.
We carry a large range to suit all size and budget requirements and details of our extensive selection can be found in one of our brochures. All of our hot tubs are made using the finest Western Red cedar which is sourced from sustainable forests in Canada.
Why cedar?
We believe that the cedar is a far better option than the acrylic and plastic models that are often seen in the market. For starters all of the wood we use is from carefully managed forest ensuring that there is no detrimental effect on the environment. The wood used is also a very good natural insulator due to the tiny air pockets captured in the grain of the wood. This can help to keep heating costs for the hot tubs at a minimum. Many of our customers are lucky enough to live in close proximity to our show room containing our range of hot tubs; Darlington, Middlesbrough and Harrogate all being within a short drive from us. The cedar that we use is kiln dried with a vertical grain which means there is no risk of the wood warping over time. It also provides superior protection from leakage as the wood swells together shortly after installation and creates an impenetrable seal.

Hot tubs are no longer just considered a luxury; with many of our customers using them for the wonderful relief it can bring to sufferers of arthritis and other joint and muscle problems. It is the combination of the buoyancy and the warmth of the water that makes a relaxing soak in one of our tubs just the ticket to help soothe away any tensions from the day.
